US Sentaor from Ohio, Sherrod Brown, has introduced federal legislation in support of Access to Routine Health Services for Cancer Patients using clinical trials. The Senator discloses that many insurance companies will not cover the routine costs of cancer care for patients willing to participate in clinical trials for cancer treatment.

Consumers should support this legislation. People with cancer desperate enough to be the guinea pigs for new medications on the market...and health insurance companies exploit the opportunity to exclude coverage. Enough said.
