New Mexico, California and Connecticut deserve some recognition for trying to pay attention to the rescission abuse by insurance companies.
http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/health/2008-02-20-cancel_N.htm reports that these states have enacted laws to protect consumers from policies being pulled from under them based on some vague notion of some uncommunicated preexisting condition.
